StatementSnap

Bank Statement Converter

PDF statements → clean Excel, CSV, QuickBooks (QBO), OFX and QIF. Reconciled before you export. Free tier forever, private by design.

Drop PDF statements here

Parsed in your browser — nothing uploads. Up to 3 files on the free tier.

Step 1

Drop your PDF

Drag the statement in. It is parsed by JavaScript in your own browser — no upload, no account, no waiting on a server queue.

Step 2

Review & fix

Every row is editable and every running balance is re-verified live. Flagged rows show exactly what the math expects.

Step 3

Export

CSV and typed Excel are free forever. QBO for QuickBooks Desktop, OFX and QIF come with Pro — each row carries a deterministic FITID so imports dedupe cleanly.

Free covers everyday conversions. Pro exists because accountants need import-native files, not spreadsheets.

Reconciliation: the check that saves your books

Most converters stop at extracting rows. We verify them. If the statement prints an opening balance and a closing balance, we chain every transaction against its printed running balance and confirm opening + Σ(transactions) = closing before you export. Misparsed rows light up red with the expected value inline — you see a parse error in your browser instead of discovering it during month-end close.

FAQ

Is my bank statement uploaded anywhere?

No. Parsing runs entirely in your browser using pdf.js. The Network tab will show zero requests carrying your file — that privacy guarantee is why this works for sensitive financial documents.

Which banks work?

Any bank whose statement is a digital (text-based) PDF: Chase, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Citi, Capital One, Amex, US Bank, PNC, credit unions and most international banks. Scanned image-only PDFs need OCR, which is on the roadmap.

What is a QBO file and why would I pay for it?

QBO is QuickBooks' Web Connect format. Import lands transactions directly in the right register with unique FITIDs, so re-importing the same statement updates instead of duplicating. CSV into QuickBooks requires manual mapping every time; QBO does not.

Is it really free?

CSV and Excel exports are unlimited and unwatermarked on the free tier, up to three files at a time. The paid tiers exist for accounting-format exports and batch workflows — the stuff bookkeepers bill hours for.
